Climate change poses a major threat to our health. Tackling climate change through reducing harmful carbon emissions will improve health and save lives. That’s why the NHS became the world’s first health service to commit to a target of reaching net-zero carbon by 2040. Reaching this target and improving health now and for generations to come will require the support of all 1.4 million NHS people, NHS partners and its suppliers. By shining a light on the link between our health and the health of our planet, while demonstrating some of the great work that is already being done by teams across the NHS, the campaign aims to inspire even more of the workforce to take action.
